3 Peek Challenge - May 2017
Ben Nevis, Mount Snowden and Scafell Pike In loving memory of Alfie Porter
Ben took part in the 3 peaks 24 hour challenge to help raise money for the Lullaby Trust in loving memory of my friend’s grandson Alfie Porter. This weekend was a huge success raising lots of money towards the trust.
This challenge involved hiking up England, Scotland and Wales tallest mountains with 24 hours. If you would like to help donate towards this amazing charity please click the link below.www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Ashley-Porter
Firestone Training - April 2016
Three of the team attended a refreshers course at the Firestone headquarters in Winsford, Chester. During the day they had up to date training in EPDM Single Ply Membrane Systems. Every year our staff are sent up to these premises to ensure their skills are to the highest standards. This also enables them to learn new techniques and be fully up to date with new products regarding the Single Ply Systems.
The Ridgeway Trail - October 2015
It was decided that a selected few of the BPL team would tackle The Ridgeway Trail as one of our team building exercises. This walk takes you from The Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire to Marlborough in Wiltshire. The Ridgeway Trail is an ancient trackway described as Britain’s oldest road. The route is 87 miles long and took us 4 days and 3 nights to complete staying in Bed and breakfasts on the way.
Penrith Cumbria - March 2015
On this trip it was decided that the whole team would go to the beautiful Lake District to carry out various team building activities. We hiked up Mount Helvellyn, kayaked in Ullswater and built rafts in teams of two. The duration of the trip was 4 nights. We stayed in a lovely cottage which housed both a pool table, table tennis and we enjoyed playing football on the ground.
Wales and Holyhead - September 2014
On this trip we experienced the longest Zip Line in Europe, hiked up Mount Snowdon on The Crib Goch Trail. We also enjoyed a few rounds on Go-Karting. We also enjoyed Coasteering from which we jumped into the sea from some scary heights and stayed in youth hostels for the duration of this trip, cooking ourselves and eating out at local authentic restaurants.
